The Mission. The Struggle. How to Endure.
Have you ever felt that your passions were too ambitious and you weren't sure how they would come to fruition? Do you ever wonder why your life's purpose seems far beyond your comfort zone? I'm writing this post specifically for you. For the ambitious, strong-willed, not-so-confident, but purpose filled shakers and movers, who need a little reassurance that your mission is not in vain.
In life, we will all face many obstacles that tug at us to see if we are truly dedicated to fulfilling God's plan and will for our lives. This idea that we are supposed to endure life without any hitch, or a struggle merely is nonsense. To grow from our comfort zone and fulfil our purpose set before us, we must be able to face any obstacle with confidence.
The fear you are feeling, the obstacles you are facing, are only confirmations that God has placed your path to an even greater mission. In this post, I want to encourage you to face obstacles with confidence even during the struggle and how leaning on God's word can help you meet those obstacles where they are without fear or worry.
This verse came to me the other day, "all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose." It's a verse that reminds me that God is here to comfort us and reaffirm our ability to continue with our mission.
There will be times when you may find yourself questioning your ambitions and goals or quite possibly your purpose, and you are ready to give in the towel because nothing seems to be going according to 'your plan.' But God continues to do everything in his will to get your attention and yet, you still ignore him. Notice the signs. Notice that all struggles, obstacles, or whatever you would like to call them, are his way of tugging at your heart. To get you to grow closer to Him.
What if you had no obstacles? Would you be fearful? Would anything still stand in your way?
I have learned that focusing on the promises of God allows me to do His will for His glory. I am entirely surrendering all to Him to endure any obstacles that come my way. Think about it like this... all your passions, talents, and ambitions, was placed by God and it is His original plan for your life.
When I look back at my life now, I see the way everything lined up for me to get to the point where I am now. Knowing I can do all things through Christ helped me overcome my fear. God did not give us the spirit of fear. He gave us the spirit of love, power and self-discipline.
So as you go through life's struggles, and overcome obstacles remember fear is just a distraction to deter you from your mission. We have to face those obstacles with confidence and understand that God's word can help you meet your obstacles with confidence.
